'Harry Potter' actor Michael Gambon dies at 82

Gambon was born in Dublin in October 1940 and began his acting career in the theater in the 1960s. Laurence Olivier hired Gambon, together with Derek Jacobi and Maggie Smith, as a founding member of the National Theatre at London's Old Vic.

Gambon is most recognized for his role as Professor Albus Dumbledore in the five "Harry Potter" films.
